Who Still Criticize Something Like This In 2021
I think that the people who still criticize something like this in 2021 are the people who are unhappy and cowardly, and the title ‘If they let us’ has a lot to do with that; why does society have to let us do something? Or not? The first you have to leave is yourself, and you have to be brave, seek the yes and dare.

But then, the novel’s central theme is no longer how one and another relationship judged?
In some way, this conflict does continue because people continue to judge, criticize and qualify it; That is why it is an essential theme within the story. The topic of social networks touched on, about how they can destroy a family. Affect someone’s reputation or can suddenly boost it. Today, a person can become very famous overnight, although not necessarily successful.
Alexis Ayala – And Speaking Of Which, We Know That You Have Been Very Successful On Tiktok; what Was Your Formula To Reach Such A Different Audience?
Alexis Ayala – Me stopped doing TikTok about ten months ago because I went back to television; I hadn’t done television for two years! I had what I call a “life warning”–Alexis had a heart attack–three years ago, and it caused me tremendous depression. She was not working, so I approached that platform because I to entertainment, and it started to work. People began to tell me: “Hey, I thought it was another way” –as I always do villains and antagonists– they by the fact that I started dancing and all those things… In the pandemic, everyone realized how vital entertainment is.
But are you coming back?
Well, maybe I have to find a way to do it, but the most important thing is that I returned to my profession and was able to produce well.
Do You Consider Yourself A Mature Heartthrob?
Well, look, how can I tell you? I think we should all like ourselves. During the two years that I did not work, I gained 20 kilos! Fortunately, I have already lowered because I resumed, it took me ten months to do it, but I managed it. After that, depression gave me, without realizing it, it was hard for me again, and I had to learn to see myself in the mirror again and relearn what I had to do to like myself again. I have known how to like myself, and I like myself, which is something that all human beings should do.
What Happened To ‘For Women Only?
It was a project that Sergio Mayer and I started in 1999; the idea came to me after seeing the movie ‘Full Monty,’ which was very successful. In 2017 we wanted to revive it, but it didn’t work because of the earthquake. So I think that ‘Only for women’ will sleep for a while; we have to let it rest and see what happens later.
We learned a curious fact about you: is it true that you were born in the United States?
Yes, that’s how it is! My mother is Cuban, and my father is Mexican; my parents met in the United States because my mother’s family emigrated there when she was very young. She remained 5 or 6 years old, and they lived in California. My dad worked at the Mexican consulate there, and they met at an event for Latinos. They fell in love, got married, were born in San Francisco, and then returned; my dad brought my mom to Mexico, and I arrived here when I was eight months old.
Alexis Ayala – Are You Single, Or Married? Tell Us About Your Daughters.
I have two daughters, Stephanie and Roberta; the youngest is ten years old. I am divorced from her mother, and I currently have a partner, and I am happy, very happy, very fulfilled. We are a young couple, in the sense that we have only been together for five months. I’m at a stage where I want to please myself before anyone else. I have traveled a lot, but I don’t know the places because I have only traveled for work and my firm intention is to do it more but to get to know. For example, Cinthia (Aparicio), my girlfriend, asked me if she knew Alaska; I told her no, and she invited me; we went, and for me, it was incredible; I saw snow for the first time!
Projects For The Future.
I can’t say much, but it could be a movie for Netflix, filmed in Barcelona.
You talked a lot about the pandemic; what did you learn, and what did it leave you?
I learned that we all need help, that you have to be close to the people you love. Look for them and seek them out, and I also learned that I do love myself, that I do like myself, and that taking care of myself is taking care of you –and it’s not a set phrase. We have to continue taking care of ourselves and that we have to live beautifully!
